Blog Update

Today I worked on the profile pages.

I used photoshop to crop out all the white background from my clip folder image. I inserted it into iweb as a png and found that having both sides of the clip folder took up too much room and if it were to fit then the text would of had to be very small. So i went back and re-editied it, taking out half of the folder and trying to make it look like it was never there. When I re-entered it in, everything fitted much better.

Also, after playing around and making the design work as I had on the powerpoint, I found that the names on the bottom idn't make sense if it was going to be a file. So I have changed my idea and on the side I will have images of them with push pins and their names underneath so the user can click on the image and it will go to their file.

I found out from other people that a trailer isn't compulsory which is good because my harddrive is still in the sick bay. But I will get everything else done to a good standard. Talking about that, I also just emailed everyone out again asking if they would be able to make sunday to get the shots. I will try to loan a laptop out this weekend.

I also noticed, because i had to stay after school today for a bit that when i tried to open my folder up it came with a blank file. So it might be crashed, hopefully not. But I will try at morning tea tomorrow and see if going on my normal computer if it opens up. If not then I will probably stay afterschool and try and catch up. But I really hope it isn't broken, but either way I have emailed mr andrews, asking him about saving it that he always talked about but never quite explained. But it should be fine.

Blog Update for yesterday

Yesterday I continued to work on the website. By using the powerpoint which held the layout of each page, I adjusted aspects of it on iweb. I did go into iweb probably earlier than I would have liked. But it was because I was unfamillar with the program that I thought that just using PPT I would have some issues converting it into iWeb.

I have done some drafts of images I would like for the site and really I am getting alot of these ideas from putting the site together and seeing which character with which action would best suit the page. I have also started photoshop on the folder that I am going to have the character profiles on. I finally found a clear image and I am just working on cutting out the background first. However I will also (today) darken the image so it does not contrast the theme of my website too much.

I emailed everyone about photos, emma replied. But I will talk to them all in class today and hopefully it will be sometime early next week. Or even friday.

Blog Update

Today I did some planning using I web so that i was famillar with the program. When brousing through the templates I found a grey, textured background which I think would be good so that I could do a light blue text over top.
